NOBODY can avoid you if they cannot SEE you. Many tragic accidents like this can easily be avoided by the use of prudent judgement. It is a very simple, unbalanced equation: Skateboarder, bicyclist @ 200 lbs moving 5-12mph vs. Automobile @ 4000-7000 lbs with a velocity of 40-70mph. Automobile ALWAYS wins. Protect yourself with a little common sense!
My prayers are out there for the victim, his relatives and the driver involved as their lives are changed forever.
