Be responsible and quit having babies (that's a sweeping generalization, but I believe the NC DSS primary objective is to provide low-income FAMILIES with assitance. Do people without a child receive foodstamps?). This is the main reason our city, state, and federal governments are going broke in the first place, entitlement programs. Reinvest the money saved after eliminating these programs into creating viable jobs and putting willing people to work.
30% of your workforce has been eliminated, becuase your colleagues are drawing federal assistance. Consequently, bleeding the federal pocketbook dry, leaving no money available to push down to state governments and local municipalities. Blame your co-workers who receive government assistance, for your lack of receiving a raise.
