Ivey Hayes painting to benefit Alzheimers NC

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Nationally-recognized local artist Ivey Hayes has created another masterpiece, and this time it will be auctioned for a good cause.

The four-by-four-foot completed work will be auctioned off at a fundraising gala to benefit Alzheimers North Carolina, incorporated. The charity serves people with Alzheimers and their family members in southeastern North Carolina.

"I'd like to thank God for giving me the ability to be a part of this organization as well as be selected as the painter of the painting that can be used to make money for the organization," Hayes said. "It makes me feel good."

The Alzheimers Legacies Gala will take place on Saturday, November 19, at the Wilmington Hilton Riverside.
