In Maryland, teachers (tutors) are NEVER allowed to meet with 12 year old students, away from the campus. Tutoring is conducted always on the school property, always in the same room with another adult school employee nearby, usally in a library, and usually during school hours.
To allow such actions away from a controlled enviroment, is to just asking for trouble. In Maryland, a tutor would be immediatey fired, if it was discovered he tutored a student off campus. If this is not a policy in Columbus County, I hope it becomes one. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble.
If these rules were in place, and were being adhered to, we would not be having this issue.
Why was he alone with her ?
