I knew John for many years. A graduate of NNHS. Went to NCSU, and got a degree. Came back and sold insurance. Worked hard, and had a good business. Started drinking, fell too deep into it, and lost his family, and his business.
He would hang out in breakfeast houses along Carolina Beach Rd. He never hurt anyone. He rode his bike around, and would look for loose change. Always seemed friendly.
A good man, who started out so young and strong, but life delt him a few bad cards. He did the best he could. Now his troubles are over. May he Rest In Peace.
