WILMINGTON -- Biking across the country may seem like an impossible feat. But not for one local man. Twenty-four-year-old Brian Foster decided to ride his bike from Astoria, Oregon to Wrightsville Beach. He had a tent and sleeping mat with him and stopped at camp grounds to sleep. He says he saw impressive scenery during his journey, but what impressed him most were the people he met along the way. Foster said, "Pretty much the people were the coolest part. People taking your into their homes and feeding you and giving you a shower and place to stay was really awesome." It took Foster three and a half months to complete his trip. He says it was good preparation for the Ironman Triathlon he will be competing in this November.
