You have a valid point, but anyone should be able to walk or ride the streets safely at any hour. As for the hit and run, I have heard no deatils about whether or not the pedestrian was in the right or wrong. I did read he had on a dark jacket. This in itself goes against what we know about walking at night. This day and time, when someone is injured, even if it was entirely their fault, they will still sue the other person, sometimes. Maybe this is what the driver felt when it happened. Don't know. Hope the guy is OK.
