My child was a student of Lori's also. She always treated her with the kindness & love a mother would and a teacher should. We all make bad choices at least once in our lives and we do not know all the circumstances of this. Perhaps she was somehow threatened and "had" to drive; maybe she was taking him to a facility for abusers. Whatever it may be, I hope the truth is shown and we can all learn from troubles like these. Guilty by association? Maybe, but innocent until the court proves otherwise. Kids and adults should chose their friends wisely.
