I am not sure the 300,000 have quit looking for jobs, but agree that they are not considered in the unemployment numbers. Also, many, many more have dropped off in previous months that they do not want us to think about. My guess is that if they tell the truth and include all that have dropped out of the mix due to benefits expiring, the unemployment per-centage would be closer to 12% What a bunch of crap!
