The Polar Express readings begin at the Wilmington Railroad Museum

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)-- The annual readings of The Polar Express started this weekend at the Wilmington Railroad Museum.

Readings are being held every Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. until December 18th. The event is in it's 8th year.

The WWAY news team will be reading the story every weekend. Our very own Kevin Wuzzardo read on Sunday.

Families came out for hot chocolate, gifts, and the treasured holiday story.

"It was fun," said listener Alex Patterson. "I liked it. It was a good experience for me. I also like what my ticket says, it says The Polar Express round trip."

The children on hand even got to visit with Santa Clause.

Next weekend's readers will be WWAY's Katie Harden, Cacky Catlett, and Marcy Cuevas.
