North Carolina at home to Virginia Tech in ACC action

RALEIGH (AP) -- Two league showdowns and a non-conference encounter mark the three-game Atlantic Coast Conference schedule tonight.

Fourth-ranked North Carolina continues its pursuit of first place in the ACC in a home game against Virginia Tech.

The Tar Heels could tie the Eagles for the top spot with a victory in the Smith Center. North Carolina is one game ahead of the Hokies, who are in fourth place.

Florida State faces Georgia Tech in Tallahassee.

The Yellow Jackets are a half-game behind the Seminoles, who could get to .500 in the ACC if they can beat Georgia Tech.

Virginia takes a step outside league play tonight to face Longwood.
