I think that journalism standards allow for defendants charged as adults first to be named in an article.... since "eligible" to be tried as an adult, they are referred to as "adult" i.e., a man or woman.
Enough of my bloviations, though.... the real reason for this is that Sandusky is going to need cellmates.
