Where there is smoke, there is fire. If the Chief is so innocent and everything is peachy keen in that department, where are the town officials who dispute what WWAY is saying. If there was nothing wrong going on, then they would be in front of the cameras vehemently denying the charges. If nothing wrong is going on, then why is the FBI investigating. We know that the SBI was brought in only after pressure was placed upon the council by this station's refusal to let up. If not for this news station, all of these issues would be swept under the rug, the "personnel" issues would continue to go unchecked and there is no telling what havoc the corrupt officers of this department would be wreaking on the citizens of Leland.
