As most of the residents of Carolina Beach and the surrounding communities will attest Pat Efird is very deserving of the Honor of being bestow with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award. Clearly the allegations against Ms Efird are all political in nature and all of us expect her to be exonerated of all charges once the investigation is complete. Anyone can accuse a person of anything in this country and fortunately for all us citizens we have rights. Ms Efird purchased a lot which was for sale and on the market for some time and anyone had the opportunity to make an offer and buy the lot which was in Ms Efird's neighborhood. IT so happened that her and her daughter made an offer and negotitated the purchase of a lot owned by the Kirkbrides throught the selling and listing agent at Coastwalk Reality, I as most residents believe this was a legitimate lot purchase for what was fair market price based on the current values of land in the area.
