During a previous discussion on this forum a question was asked as to who is paying the cost of these lawsuits.
A writer returned a sensible answer that it was the League of Municipalities that was behind the lawsuits. Further comments by annexation advocates indicate that the efforts to overturn the current and finally right process blocking these unconstitutional, involuntary property and financial takings will continue.
No disrespect intended to any African American organizations with similar initials, but, if the NC League of Municipalities wanted to be truthful in its own advertising it would adopt this: NCAAGP, North Carolina Association for the Advancement of GOVERNMENT PEOPLE...
What is the cost to Wilmington's taxpayers of belonging to this organization which stands against both constitutional principles and the financial security of its people???
I hope others agree that this is an interesting question worth pursuit by some fine investigative journalists.
