Sometimes I get upset when I get those automated phone calls that tell me the school had a drill. Now, I am glad that the school drills our kids. You never know when a real danger could be out there, and the drills prepare our kids for the real thing. I am glad that the cops and principles make safety a part of everyday learning. I am also glad that as a parent, I knew what happened when it happened.
