People need to be aware when they are crossing a street in the dark. My husband and I were traveling down college rd one evening, when a man suddenly just stepped out of nowhere. He was wearing dark clothing so it made it hard to see him. Only saw him when he stepped into the light of the car's headlights. Luckily my husband was going well below the speed limit so he was able to stop in time. What gets me is that the guy never looked up at us, just kept walking. People think that they have the right of way when crossing a street and take for granted that the oncoming traffic will stop for them. But if the cars are traveling too fast to stop in time or you dart right into the path of an oncoming car, tragedy is going to follow.
