I've lived in North Topsail for almost 10 years. We have a good police department. Officer Simpson's actions are just that-HIS personal actions. They were not condoned by, nor do they reflect the professionalism displayed by the Police department, hence the quick action by Chief Fillinger to terminate Simpson. This former officers actions were unacceptable. The department's actions to quickly terminate him and to call in the SBI were spot on. I'm proud of our town and our police department.
