Is your whole family like you? Loud, pushy, disrespectful? No wonder they're in trouble with the law.
Cops have every right to go in your house (where they believe a fugitive is being harbored), bust down the door, and wake up your whole family. In fact, if the fugitive had been found in the house, they could have hauled off everyone in the house to jail for harboring a fugitive. You're lucky they didn't decide to go there in the middle of the night.
As for your neighbor making your family look bad, that's your fugitive's fault. He's the one making you look bad, not your neighbor. Ditto with the news crew. They have the right to report anything criminally related in our neighborhoods. There again, you can blame your fugitive family member. The cops wouldn't have been out there if he hadn't done something wrong.
If my child did something wrong, I would turn him in myself. Family or not, wrong is wrong. Help him to grow up by turning him in.
