Why, after all these years, are Republicans suddenly finding it necessary to require photo identification to vote? Could it be to decrease the enormous number of voters who turned out in 2008 to vote for a Democratic President? In the past, there were also many rules designed for the specific purpose of eliminating certain people (women, minorities, poor people) from the voting process. The right to vote is Constitutional. There should be no barriers for any legal citizen of the United States to carry out that right, whether or not they have a photo id. To create any barriers for legal voters is to show great disrespect to our Founding Fathers, our Constitution, and the rights it provides for ALL of our citizens. If the process isn't broke, why fix it?
