Electronics for Christmas? Remember you can't just throw away old ones

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Did you get a new TV for Christmas? How about a computer or cell phone? If so, don't throw away your old one. It's been illegal since July. But you have a few options to dispose of your old electronics.

Here is a list of drop-off donations in New Hanover County:

*Only on Wednesdays, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
*Residents will be allowed to recycle up to four items, per week, at no cost.
*Accepted items include:
- computers (one computer consists of a monitor, CPU, keyboard, mouse, and printer)
- televisions
- cell phones (including charger)
- anything with a power cord, excluding white goods
