This front brought strong, to at times severe thunderstorms to the area that were powerful enough to bring down some branches and cause minor wind damage and a few scattered power outages.

Here's a list of some of the highest gusts from southeastern North Carolina:

68 mphSouthport
61 mphWrightsville Beach
53 mphSunny Point
52 mphFigure Eight Island

The Tornado warning was issued around 12:30 p.m. for a possible waterspout that was close to coming ashore in Oak Island and Caswell Beach. There has not been any confirmation of a tornado touchdown at this time.
