RALEIGH, NC (NEWS & OBSERVER) -- It appears 2012 will not be the year when list-makers get over their Raleigh crush.
Bloomberg Businessweek has ranked Raleigh the best place to live in the U.S.
Durham also made the magazine's list, coming in at No. 37.
Other North Carolina cities in the top 50 were Winston-Salem (46), Greensboro (31) and Charlotte (20).
Businessweek's rankings take into account a dozen data points, including education levels, household income, cultural activities and foreclosure rates.
So how did Raleigh land the top spot? Did the Ferris wheel on Fayetteville Street put us over the top?
