I heard the SBI is doing the investigation, not that one was really needed in the case of Sherry Lewis.

Common sense should have won out, and discipline issued to the culprits.

I'm not sure who or what agency investigated the Highway Patrol, but they got to the bottom of it fairly quickly.

Leaders of Leland need to know that residents want professional officers and Chief. And we want an open government, responsive to the people and their concerns when things occur and nothing is explained.

Hopefully we'll get a "New Leland", and leave the past reputation of rednecks, hillbillies etc behind.

But of the officers I've met, I haven't encountered any "bad apples" and have always been treated with the respect I've shown them.

I haven't met the Chief though.
