A point not often considered is the future savings made by this man's shooting. He had already escalated from an unarmed robbery to one with a deadly weapon. Perhaps some future clerk's life has been saved by this event, or at least quite a few taxpayer bucks that would have been paid for incarcerating this guy. Whether he was "mentally challenged", i.e. nuts, is immaterial as dead at the hands of another, sane or unbalanced, is immaterial.
