Not to drive attention away from the fact that this was a terrible act and should definitely be punished to the utmost, but...this entire quote is a bit over exaggerated. Plus, there are many different programs to help Marines, as well as all military members, and their families deal with the stresses of combat and the transition back to “normal” life. These programs exist for individuals while on active duty and after each has left the service.
