.....has a cement driveway. There are no cement streets. They are concrete........generally by volume 3 parts gravel, two parts sand and one part Portland cement. Cement is a bonding matrix used in concrete, brick mortar,thinsets and other masonry products. The price of cement in Wilmington is not going to go up or down just because there is a cement plant here.
There is a surplus of cement in the world today.
Having said all that I don't really care how much limestone Titan pulls out of the mine....what concerns me more than anything about Titan is that they will be pulling 8 to 9 million gallons of water out of the aquifer daily and simply throwing it away into the Cape Fear River. Down the road......CFPUA infrastructure will have to be built to make up for this waste and it will be on the backs of the taxpayers not Titan. There is the real travesty of Titan.
