That was a dispicable thing to say to someone who has been through that kind of experience with their mother. You didn't walk in their shoes, and you sure don't know what went on behind the scenes. You could have disagreed with them and stated your reasons why in a logical and straightforward manner, but instead you decided to incinerate them with words of bitterness and hostility.
