I beg to differ with Mr. McCoy on the point that if it had been Barfield or Thompson that the media wouldn't cover it. I don't know about the other news outlets, but WWAY does report it when Barfield and Thompson do and say stupid stuff. They were all over Barfield when he said that only veterans had a right to question the outrageous expenditure for the Gravely party. They also reported when Thompson when he offered to take Walter Futch outside. They also called him on the carpet when his company stood to gain by the county's refusal to pick up yard debris. So, the media isn't just picking on Mr. Berger.
Mr. Berger has personal issues that are affecting his duties as a commissioner. The public he is supposed to be representing have a right to know what is going on and the news outlets are doing the right thing by reporting it.
