WHITE HOUSE (AP) -- Tony Snow is leaving his job as White House press secretary on September 14th.
An administration official says Snow is going to be replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino.
Snow said recently that he'd be leaving before the end of Bush's presidency because he needs to make more money. He's been undergoing cancer treatments.
Snow was a conservative pundit and a syndicated talk-show host on Fox News Radio before being named press secretary in April of last year.
Word of his departure date comes on the last day of work for Karl Rove, the White House political strategist. Other top officials have also left the White House since Democrats won control of Congress.
