That would be fine, but there are lawyers that love nothing more than to sue police departments when they do their job. It is also easier to dissect this after the fact with what they coulda, shoulda done. It is much different in the heat of the moment where a split second decision can cost an officer his career and freedom.

Now I do agree with you that I wish the police had the power to shoot these thugs.
