If they choose an area up I-40, the jobs will be up I-40. Since Pender County has had a decrease in unemployment and Brunswick County has had an increase in unemployment, I would rather see them come to Brunswick County. As large as Brunswick County is, I don't see that another company coming here would have an impact on us staying rural. As for the transplants, since most of them are of the retirement age and come here because our real estate values are so far below theirs, they will come whether we build it or not. The only way to stop them is to close our borders.
