WWAY sports - Feb. 13: Elijah Wilson ties MJ's scoring record at Laney

WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY) -- Laney senior Elijah Wilson scored 42 points in Laney's 68-62 victory on Monday night against New Bern in the first round of the Mideastern Conference Tournament. Elijah did have extra minutes on his side though. Kenny Grady hit a three pointer at the end of the third overtime to send the game into a fourth overtime. 42 points ties the previous school record held by Michael Jordan. Back in 1980 Jordan scored 42 against Eastern Wayne.

After the game on Monday night Elijah Wilson committed to play for the College of Charleston.
