Demond Jones -- only surviver -- is also a convicted Felon: ROBBERY W/DANGEROUS WEAPON (PRINCIPAL) served 6 years + 5 months, convicted in NHC. Also one female passenger has misdemeanor record. So 3/4 were recently engaged in criminal activity. This can be confirmed by doing an "offender search" at the NC Dept. of Corrections website.
