Agreed, the mayor and city council are looking after their personal interest on what they can do to make more money for the business that they own. They are not looking out for the taxpayers. Before it is over with, the taxes will be so high that more people will be moving out of Wilmington instead of into and the same with the Motel room tax. I use to love to go downtown until they started gouching on the parking. Most the people I talk with feel the same. I love baseball and occasionally go to see the Pelicans in Myrtle Beach where there is plenty of parking for free. Most the games down there are nowhere near capacity. Where are we going to park at this new stadium? From what I see there is no room for parking.
