You're absolutely correct - public housing is a swinepit wherever you go.
So where did we ever get the crazy idea that the government should be in the landlord buisness? Why are we building these concentrated neighborhoods of TANF, EBT, Medicaid, drugs and crime? If our goal was to keep the problems concentrated in one area, we forgot the last critical step - building a twenty-foot wall around it.
On a more serious note, why are there no restrictions on how long you can live in public housing and sponge off society? I recall one story right here on WWAY, after a shooting in Creekwood: "...... , who has lived in Creekwood for thirteen years, said...."
