COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Lake Waccamaw store owner will not face charges after shooting a robber in January. District Attorney Jon David said the January 11 shooting death of Tevin Bowen at the Waccamaw Outdoor Supply Store was a justified use of deadly force. Investigators say Bowen entered the store wearing a bandana on his face, carried a small sledgehammer and threatened people inside. David said the store owner made a "reasonable attempt to scare" Bowen by firing shots into the ceiling before shooting Bowen.
