Everybody needs to stop speculating. Clearly the parents would have had an idea that something was wrong before he was actually found. Who is anybody to say that his parents weren't concerned. Teenagers are notorious for being hard to get in touch with and everyone's relationship with his or her family is different. Who are you to say that his parents should have looked into it sooner? Thank you for sharing what you would have done in hindsight, if this were your son, but who says that wouldve changed the outcome? Regardless, his parents lost their son. Have some sympathy.
