Under-Funded Public Education systems do not have the overall training and educational background to deal with children with disabilties. The surrounding peers are also not taught the respect to teach children with disabilities by both educators and parents. Therefore, these children are often put in a corner and excluded. They are tormented, laughed at and treated sub-human. I've witnessed this happening and was disappointed each time. I've always wished I could do more.
Its wrong, its in-humane and often illegal. Until the schools are given the resources and funding to deal with extra need and disabled children, this will continue to happen.
Unfortunatley, in this state and several others in poorly funded education systems the parents should persue the complain and remove their child from this school and seek private schooling.
I have seen this type of behavior first hand, in many states
