Parents like me? Do you know me? Or my method of punishing my child? Or whether my child is a bad kid? No? WHo are you to assume I'm a bad parent? I happen to have a generally well-behaved child. However, on the rare occasion when she does get in trouble, my wife and I punish her appropriately.
Who are you to assume I'm a bad parent? The school has every right to punish students. I just don't think they should be the ones to perform corporal punishment on children. That is a parent's job, not some government employee. The decision to use, or not use, corporal punishment should not be up to the government.
I never said children shouldn't be spanked, or that I don't spank my own child. I simply said that no "other adult" should be spanking my child. You did a great job jumping to the conclusion that I'm someone who lets their child get away with bad behavior.
