As a long time cyclist I can say that whether or not anyone was wearing earbuds is irrelevant. They were in the bike lane, Grooms was DRUNK. I did not know the victims of this murder. I did know and love a very good friend who was struck and killed by a drunk driver in Columbia two years ago. He too was in the bike lane and the man who killed him had 5 other drunk driving charges.
I suppose it is a good thing that we live in a country that allows this to go to trial. My condolences to the family, may they all find peace and please, Mr. Grooms, take your punishment like a decent human being...how do you sleep at night.
Ear Buds not the issue here
