I hope that Principal Bowen was closely involved very early in the investigation of this case and pressed for swift, stern legal action. I was quite disappointed in how the previous principal handled an incident with students which reflected poorly on the staff and the principal's lack of thorough investigation. It also revealed insufficient accountability guidelines and/or adherence to them. Certainly, being a school teacher or administrator can be challenging and rewarding. Those who endeavor in this honorable profession deserve a chance to make a positive impact, but never to include any lewd behavior (per the law, regardless of whether the student is a willing participant). My best wishes to Principal Bowen and his staff to overcome this terrible situation.
