WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) - Thursday night sports featured three Tar Heel basketball players who have decided to take their games to the professional level next season. Harrison Barnes, John Henson and Kendall Marshall all declared for the NBA Draft. We also recognized New Hanover senior guard Kadeem Allen for being named to the All-State squad by the Associated Press. Also in high school basketball news, Topsail senior gaurd Payton Ball signed with the Merchant Marine Academy on Thursday. We also featured Laney, Ashley, New Hanover and Hoggard in high school baseball action.

NEW HANOVER SENIOR BASKETBALL GUARD KADEEM ALLEN HAS BEEN NAMED ALL-STATE IN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL.
ALLEN LED THE STATE CHAMPION WILDCATS IN SCORING, ASSISTS & STEALS THIS SEASON.

TOPSAIL SENIOR BASKETBALL GUARD PAYTON BALL SIGNED WITH THE MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY ON THURSDAY.

THE WILMINGTON SEADAWGS WILL OPEN THEIR 2012 BASKETBALL SEASON ON SUNDAY AT 6PM IN THE SCHWARTZ CENTER.
THE SEADAWGS WILL BE HOSTING THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS ON COLLEGE NIGHT AT THE DAWG POUND.

THE SE ELITE 24 BASKETBALL CLASSIC WILL BE HELD IN BROGEN HALL IN WILMINGTON ON APRIL 7.
THE CLASSIC TIPS OFF AT 1PM WITH AN UNDERCLASSMEN GAME AND THE PREMIER SENIOR CLASSIC STARTS AT 4PM.
