Moment of silence, flags at half-mast Tuesday

President Bush has asked all Americans to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 Tuesday morning -- the time the first plane struck the World Trade Center six years ago. In addition Gov. Mike Easley has ordered flags at all state government buildings lowered to half staff tomorrow, in honor of Patriot Day. Congress authorized the federal holiday to honor victims and survivors of the terrorist attacks.
