I love baseball and I used to attend minor league games where I grew up.
The problem is that where I lived you could draw on bigger cities nearby to give you attendees to games.
Here in Wilmington we have 98,000 people many of whom are too young too old or don't care about baseball. So where's the nearby city to draw attendees from? Leland? Belville?
Please, Mr Mayor and Manager Cheatham - extract concessions from the Braves organization to help pay for this. If we pay for it in it's entirety, Wilmington will lose as the Braves cannot draw enough to this stadium in this city to make it worth while to them to keep it here.
It is not worth the risk we are trying to under take.
