I don't drive a cab and I got checked the other day. The DMV gave me a wrong sticker last year that didn't match up with my registration, so I got written up for a fictitious tag after the officer insisted that my sticker was altered. DMV recognized their mistake and wrote a letter on my behalf. It's too bad that I still have to go and sit in traffic court for it.
