WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- New details this morning on a fatal accident near the Isabel Holmes Bridge Wednesday night. State troopers tell WWAY that the victim is 31 year old Pender County resident Alisha Lee Sellers.

The accident happened on Highway 421 near the Isabel Holmes Bridge, and was called in to New Hanover County Dispatch at 8:59 Wednesday night.

Sellers had pulled over her car, and turned on her emergency flashers before getting out and walking southbound. That's when James Lewis Jr. hit her while driving his truck.

Troopers are not citing Lewis for the accident and say they don't know why Sellers had gotten out of her vehicle since it had not broken down.

The investigation is ongoing, and troopers have requested a toxicology report - even though they do not think drugs or alcohol were involved.
