a police force covering multiple cities in the same county. this is a called a sheriff's dept. in the U.S. Brunswick Co. already has a Sheriff's dept. Bozeman is a lawyer so I'm sure she's researched some legal precedent (law is nothing but precedent) for multiple towns in the same county having a police force and a sheriff's dept., but it seems redundant.
