Julia Boseman no longer a court appointed attorney

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Former state Sen. Julia Boseman has dropped her appeal to be put back on the court appointed attorney list in Brunswick County.

Earlier this month, Judge Ola Lewis removed Boseman from the list. Boseman appeared in court today, but decided to dismiss her appeal.

She nor her attorney would explain why.

Judge Lewis's attorney said Boseman decided this was not the right way to go about getting back on the list. Instead, she can apply to a committee to be placed back on it.

According to court documents, Judge Lewis removed Boseman "for good cause," but no one would tell us what that refers to.
