Over the past few years you can go to any building site in New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick county and see them working there. The sub contractor is paying them far less than the going rate. The sub-comtractor isn't paying comp or liablity insurnace on them so they can bid out a job much cheaper than a contractor that has AMericans working for them. I have called the building dept. in each county and NOTHING at all gets done. I have even called the insurance companies to ask who is on their policy. They list 3 or 4 works but at the job site their are 6 - 8 working there.
If our local government doesn't step up and crack down how can the state government.
